Quadriceps stretch benefits and tips-

The quadriceps are a set of four muscles that run down the front of the leg and insert at the patella kneecap then passes down below the knee to attach and insert onto the lower leg tibia bone. Bending the knee and extending the leg back at the hip stretches these muscles.

These muscles are the strongest in the body, they help stabilize the knee and allow some rotation of the lower leg. Keeping these muscles strong and flexible allows full leg and hip mobility and strength. If these muscles are tight they will throw the posture off by flexing the hips too far and not allowing ease of knee bending while hip extends, such as in walking.
